On Wisdom That Works — Penguin India, 2026

Dr. Kiran Bedi
"Leadership is ultimately tested not in moments of comfort, but in moments of pressure. Wisdom That Works speaks directly to this reality — it is a practical guide for building integrity, resilience, and courage in everyday leadership. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who aspires not merely to succeed, but to lead with strength, values, and lasting impact."
Dr. Kiran Bedi
First Woman IPS Officer of India · Former Lt. Governor of Puducherry · Founder, India Vision Foundation
Ajay Piramal
"I found Wisdom That Works to be a thoughtful and grounded book. It offers practical perspectives for those who want to grow, take responsibility, and act with purpose — without losing their ethical compass. In a time when leadership is often reduced to speed and outcomes, this book is a reminder that long-term success comes from self-mastery, reflection, and alignment with what truly matters."
Ajay Piramal
Chairman, Piramal Group
Ashish Kumar
"In volatile environments, inner steadiness matters as much as external expertise. Wisdom That Works offers practical guidance for maintaining clarity, composure, and principled action under pressure."
Ashishkumar Chauhan
MD & CEO, National Stock Exchange of India (NSE)
Radheshyam Das
"This book offers readers not merely techniques to cope with stress, but a higher vision — to grow through life, not just go through life. It serves as a guide to help readers move from confusion to clarity, from anxiety to inner strength, and from external success to meaningful fulfilment."
Radheshyam Das

Eight Challenges Nobody Taught You How to Solve

Whether you're a student, a professional, or a CEO — these invisible challenges shape your daily experience. Each one has a precise answer in the book.

"Why Am I Always Reactive?"

Someone drops a comment — you fire back. A deadline hits — you panic. A family situation triggers you — you say things you regret. You know better, but your reactions are faster than your wisdom.

Answered in Ch. 1 · Proactive Power · P.A.C.E. Framework

"My Team Runs on Politics, Not Trust"

Win-lose thinking dominates your workplace. People compete instead of collaborate. Credit gets hoarded. You want to lead differently but don't have the framework to change the culture.

Answered in Ch. 2 · Win-Win Thinking · Abundance Mindset

"My Mind Won't Stop Spiralling"

One thought becomes a chain: worry → attachment → obsession → anxiety. You can't sleep. You doom-scroll. You overthink every decision. Your mental software needs an upgrade.

Answered in Ch. 3–4 · Mental OS + Crash-Proof Mode

"One Bad Review Ruins My Whole Week"

99 people praised you. 1 criticised. You replayed the criticism all night. You absorb every setback personally. Tolerance feels like surrender — but reacting feels worse.

Answered in Ch. 5–6 · Self-Care + Bamboo Principle

"I Know What to Do — I Just Can't Start"

Procrastination isn't laziness — it's a habit pattern. Your to-do list grows. Your focus fragments. Time passes and you're busy but never productive. The gap between intention and execution is killing you.

Answered in Ch. 7–8 · Time Alchemy + Discipline Download

"I'm Doing Everything Right and Still Burning Out"

You hit every target. You work harder than anyone. And you're still exhausted, anxious, empty. The problem isn't the effort — it's your relationship with the outcome.

Answered in Ch. 9 · Anti-Burnout Formula · CARD Framework

"Success Came. Meaning Didn't."

The promotion landed. The business grew. But the question underneath gets louder: what is all of this for? You need more than meditation apps and motivational quotes — you need a purpose framework.

Answered in Ch. 10–11 · Mindfulness + Karma vs. Destiny

"My Batchmate Worked Less and Got More"

Effort doesn't always equal reward. Merit doesn't always win. You did the right thing and fell behind. The unfairness corrodes motivation — and nobody shows you how to handle it.

Answered in Ch. 11 · Karma + Daiva + Kāla · Three Forces
Wisdom That Works — Madan Sundar Das
"Between every trigger and your reaction, your brain gives you a tiny window. Leaders who learn to use this pause make decisions they're proud of. Those who don't become the person shouting at thunderclouds."

Your Guide

From Research Engineer to Monk — and Back to the Boardroom

Madan Sundar Das holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University and spent years as a Research Engineer at Juniper Networks in Silicon Valley. He walked away from an H1-B visa, a tech career, and every conventional measure of success.

Not because he failed — but because the system he was optimising for had no answer to the question underneath every other question: What am I actually doing this for?

Since then, he has spent over 15 years translating Bhagavad Gita wisdom for people in the middle of real life — students, professionals, managers, entrepreneurs, CEOs. He is the Director of Evolve Pune, Resident Monk at ISKCON Pune, and the author of Wisdom That Works (Penguin India) and Living the Gita (HarperCollins India). Recognised at the NSE IP to IPO Awards 2026 for outstanding contribution in Spirituality, Youth Empowerment & Ethical Leadership.

The Foundation

The Book That Starts Everything

Wisdom That Works is not a self-help book you read and shelve. It's a personal GPS — a system you return to whenever you need direction, clarity, or a reminder of your true destination.

Each chapter opens with a real-life story — from exam stress to boardroom politics to family pressure — and distils the Gita's teaching into frameworks you use, not just read about.

Rahul S.

Common Questions

Is this a religious programme?
+
No. Every session is built around real situations — reactive leadership, team dynamics, burnout, purpose — and introduces frameworks grounded in Gita wisdom. Tested for practicality, not belief. Sceptics are welcome.
Is this only for professionals? What about students?
+
The book and course are designed for students, professionals, and leaders equally. The stories span campus life, corporate careers, entrepreneurship, and family. It is currently part of the MBA and PGDM curriculum at Symbiosis SCMHRD and DY Patil University, and offered as a credited course at Mahindra University — with 1,500+ students enrolling this month alone. Whether you're preparing for exams or leading a company, the LEAD Framework applies.
I've never read the Bhagavad Gita. Is that a problem?
+
Not at all. No Sanskrit, no prior knowledge required. We start from situations you already face and trace each one back to the relevant principle. Participants who know the Gita well often say they encountered it in a completely new way.
Is the masterclass live or recorded?
+
The masterclass is conducted live — register now and we'll email you when the next session is scheduled. Live attendance lets you interact directly with Madan Sundar Das. The full course (Levels 1–3) includes recorded sessions you can revisit anytime, but the introductory masterclass is always live.
Can we bring this programme to our organisation or university?
+
Yes. Wisdom That Works is available as a corporate leadership programme, university course (currently offered at Mahindra University as a credited course), or residential workshop. Customisable by duration, format, and audience.
